Hi, I’m Karen Knowler…

The founder of the International Association of Raw Food Coaches, Chefs and Teachers is an author.

In 1999, when I was just beginning to go solo in my raw food business adventures, you may not know about me. I didn’t know how to teach or create a raw food class. There were no raw food teacher training courses in the UK.

I had a lot of doubts and fears, but I believed it or not. Public speaking was my biggest fear. I wasn’t sure if anyone would want to learn from little old me or if I could teach them anything they didn’t already know.

What if they didn’t like my recipes or felt like it was too basic?

However, as I was to find out very quickly, people. Did that happen? Not only did they love my recipes, but those same recipes put them on the path to going raw and reaping all those wonderful benefits, so they wanted to learn from me.

Everyone was happy.

I have to teach what I know and love. For my time spent doing it, I earned some very handy money.

My students need to learn how to make quick and easy raw food. They would make their own home so they could finally go raw and get as healthy and energetic as they wanted.

I realized that when I taught my first class.

Since that first class, a lot has happened. I taught thousands of people in live class settings in the UK, the US, Germany and the Netherlands over the next ten years.

People all over the world are hungry for great raw food recipes. One thing is certain, that they can make quickly and easily in their own home.

There isn’t enough raw food teachers in this world.

It’s true.

A lot of people don’t pursue their dream because they don’t know enough about raw food or there is too many raw food teachers. We are a long way away from that reality. There is a severe lack of raw food teachers in this world. It is not a big deal if you only have to be a step or two ahead of those you are teaching.

Most teachers don’t see that you don’t need to teach raw food to people who want to eat it.

Allow me to explain…

There are tens of thousands of people around the world who love raw food and want to learn more from someone like you.

Why? They haven’t started eating raw food in the way that they want to because they haven’t bought the books, read the websites, or watched the videos.

Something is stopping them, and, more often than not, it is one thing and one thing only.

They want to taste the food before committing.

They might be feeling a little bit scared, intimidated, confused or overwhelmed by everything they have read and seen, and they just want someone to take them by the hand and show it to them in a way that is accessible and doable for them.

It makes sense when you think about it. Maybe you were the same?

I know that. A huge turning point for me was when a new raw food friend made me a very simple almond milk at the beginning of my raw food journey. That was a life-changing moment for me. He made a carrot and apple juice that was something I had never tried before. Wow! I had my mind blown open. He had a 15-minute window of time in his tiny home kitchen.

It’s important to learn from others, but also to learn first-hand and to try the recipes. We want it to be easy.

It was two simple recipes shown to me in a friend’s home that changed my life.

Think about what a raw food class can do.

Yes! I know…

Things are very different than they were back then.

There are more people who want to learn how to eat raw food today than there were a few years ago, and there are also more people who want to learn how to eat vegan food. If raw food was packaged differently, they would love it just as much as you do.

You don’t have to think about a lot of people to realize that. Everyone can benefit from eating raw food. They would be open to learning about it if it were presented in a non-raw-food way.

And so it is. Whether you want to teach people who are new to raw food how to cook it or teach them how to enjoy it. The time is ripe for you to make your teaching dream come true, because it has never been better.

Everything is going in this direction, so it will get better.

When I ran my first raw food class 20 years ago, it filled up in a few short weeks with hardly any advertising, and that was when raw foodies were rare indeed.

I ran an off-the-cuff class and filled it to capacity in just 5 days.

I realized that more raw food teachers were needed quickly.

Many others failed because they didn’t get their act together when demand was on the up. They tried to make it on passion, but it broke my heart because they were great people with great intentions. It is definitely true that passion is not enough.

I decided that I would be the greatest service if I could. My secrets will be shared with other Raw Food Teachers and Raw Food Coaches. This simply couldn’t continue.

Twelve years ago, I ran my first Raw Teacher Training live in England to a total of over 70 people from all around the world. In 2009, I released an in-depth home study training program going into all the nuts-and-bolts of planning, marketing, running and teaching a raw food class. In August of 2011, I took my teacher business training LIVE at a fantastic venue in London where I showed 30 people from all around the world how to teach my popular Raw Food Made Simple class.
