…and by that we mean individuals who are extremely overweight and NEVER exercise.

But for the individual trying to build metabolically-active muscle tissue, carbs are a MUST-HAVE nutrient – you simply can’t be without them…

In fact carbs help:

  • Fuel your body for exercise
  • Drive protein into muscles for accelerated growth
  • Help prevent the breakdown of hard-earned muscle mass

The biological truth about carbohydrates is they directly support muscle-building (which helps with fat loss), by helping them to remain anabolic.

So the real question to be asking yourself is:
What type of carbs are you eating?

The North American food supply continues to see an alarming increase of harmful health-depleting food…

…food (if you can call it that) which is dishonestly labeled as a “healthy option.”

For an example, just look at the “normal” breakfast the average North American consumes each morning…these are foods I wouldn’t even touch on a cheat day:

  • Pop tarts

Eating these foods first thing in the morning is a recipe for disaster…

…they’ll spike up your insulin levels (leading to a highly-increased risk of diabetes) and leave your body in a broken state of fat burning.

Breakfast Is NOT The Most Important

Meal Of The Day

If eating breakfast was so important to maintaining a healthy weight and lean body then…

…why do recent studies show that even though 90% of the North American population eats breakfast first thing in the morning. Why is over half the population either overweight or obese even though most of them eat breakfast?

The math just doesn’t make sense, does it?

The Historical Truth About Breakfast:

Back in our caveman days we barely got to eat breakfast because we were always hunting for our food, eating it and then fasting until our next meal came.

Historical reports indicate our ancestors ate in the afternoon and evening times…further proof that:

  • Delaying breakfast will NOT slow your metabolism down. You will NOT be slow and lethargic if you don’t eat first thing in the morning.
  • Quite the opposite, delaying breakfast speeds up your metabolism…because food and eating have no effect on your metabolism
  • It’s a simple fact – you can’t eat your way to a better metabolism…Your metabolism relies on exercise and movement.

See, a funny thing happens when you start delaying your breakfast until later in the day.

What we don’t realize is that we’re producing a hormone in our body called ghrelin (keep that word in mind)...

…which dictates our hunger response amongst a range of other functions including:

  • Increased Growth Hormone output
  • Increased Dopamine and most importantly…
  • Increased awareness and memory function

Ghrelin is the reason why most people who skip breakfast are most productive in the mornings.

SHOCKING Diet Myth #3 – Eating 5 to 6 Meals
Will “Boost” Your Metabolism

By now you might have heard that frequent meal eating DOES NOT have an effect on your metabolism.

If you haven’t heard already, there’s a ton of research revealing that meal frequency has no effect on your fat loss.

In the past, I would eat 5 to 6 meals a day because I thought it would help me burn more fat by “increasing my metabolic rate.”

So imagine this scenario…

Every time I “missed” a meal I’d completely freak out and think my metabolism was going to come to a grinding halt…and I’d fatten right up in a matter of hours.

Trying to “game the biological system” by beating it with frequent meals only leads to a lot more problems than what you’ll begin with.
