Eric Wombwell is a member of the BCIDP. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. In order to maximize student learning, Wombwell is responsible for developing clinical and educational initiatives. He is involved in lecturing, research and hospital pharmacy practice.

After completing his degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Dr. Wombwell went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Pharmacy has a full-time non-tenured clinical faculty position. He teaches Doctor of Pharmacy students in a variety of courses with special emphasis on infectious diseases. At Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri, Wombwell works as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, providing care to acutely ill patients. The School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri- Kansas City is where he teaches infectious diseases curriculum to dental students.

More than 20 peer-reviewed publications on pharmacy and medication-related topics have been published by Dr. Wombwell, as well as more than 50 invited presentations for continuing education to various health-professional audiences. He received the UMKC Faculty Member of the Year in 2016 and was named Teacher-of-the-Year in various capacities 7 times.
